Amy: It was a NWA Mid-Atlantic show. They Hardy Boys were booked and it was my third Indy show and they said, "Hey, we've got a ring" and they were on the road with the WWF but not full time. They said, "We train on Sunday's sometimes when we're in town and if we're not there, some of the other guys are. You're welcome to come down to the ring" and I did and I learned so much down there.

Paul Heyman noticed Amy in the Indys and asked her if she wanted to join ECW. She said yes, but there was 1 stipulation: she would be a valet only. Dory Funk and his wife were introduced to Amy, and Dory saw a special 'X-Factor' in Amy, if you will. Dory and his wife collected tapes of Amy and sent them to WWF talent relations.

The WWF first disapproved, but later on said yes and gave Amy contract. Amy worked at first as one of the Godfather's Escorts or Ho's. She then joined up with Essa Rios. She worked from being his valet to his tag partner.

Amy eventually worked so hard, she was rewarded with her own storyline, with the role of 'Lita'. This role would be so important and influential in Amy's career. One day, Essa Rios (Papa Chulo) started to beat up Lita for losing a match against Jeff. The Hardyz, being such good guys, came to save her. Lita then joined Team Xtreme.

Lita has been invloved in many new storylines, from feuds with 'The Billion Dollar Princess' and Trish (which just proves blondes don't only feud with brunettes ;), to getting the WWF Women's title, to being stalked by Dean Malenko, to getting intimate with Matt Hardy, then breaking up, and coming back together; stronger than ever.

Amy Dumas has become one of the most amazing women ever.
